Pac Man Cheese Eggs Children's Breakfast!

It is okay for adults to eat this children's recipe too!

Pac Man has been around for a long time.  Pac Man was one of the first popular video games.  People have worn holes in their thumb, while playing the Pac Man game for way too much time.  That goes to show just how addictive a good video game can be.
Some chefs and cooks do get some kind of a rotten attitude when they are asked to make a plate of food for a child.  Good chefs do like to cook a special plate of food for children!  Some of the top chefs once did a television show that involved cooking a 3 course meal for children and their food critics happened to be those same children.  Its was amazing to see what children expect a plate of food to be!
The theme of a children's plate is very important.  For example, the classic "Mickey Mouse Pancakes" children's breakfast.  A colorful imaginative theme can get a stubborn child right into an eager eating mode.
Many of todays children still play Pac Man.  Even if the children are over fifty years old!  Letting children go wild during breakfast is fun sometimes.  Children love to make imitative noises when they play with their food.  To tell you the truth, some adults do too.  If you serve this Pac Man breakfast to an energetic child, then expect a lot of weird video game noises to be made by the child.
Adults are the freakiest when they start making imitative video game sounds while going through a "second childhood" moment.  It may be best to keep this Pac Man Cheese Eggs breakfast on the children's menu, rather than to risk the consequences of a adults reverting back to the mentality of a ten year old child!

     Bacon:
Cook 1 slice of smoked bacon in a pan over medium low heat, till it is almost crispy.
Cut the cooked bacon slice into tiny square shapes and keep them warm on a stove top.

     Purple Potatoes:
Boil 2 or 3 small purple potatoes in salted water, till they start to become tender.
Cool the potatoes under cold running water.
Peel the potato skins off with the back of a paring knife.
Cut the purple potatoes into 3 thick round slices.
Heat 3 pats of unsalted butter in a saute pan over medium low heat.
Set the potato slices in the pan.
Season the potatoes with a small pinch of sea salt and black pepper.
Lightly saute the potato slices for a couple minutes.
Keep the potatoes warm on a stove top.

     Pac Man Cheese Eggs:
Whisk 2 eggs in a mixing bowl.
Heat a non-stick saute pan over medium low heat.
Add 1 pat of unsalted butter.
Pour half of the whisked eggs into the pan.
Add 2 tablespoons of grated cheddar cheese to the eggs in the pan.
Loosely scramble the eggs with a spatula.  (Only cook the eggs, till they become soft and runny.)
Place the half cooked cheese eggs back into the mixing bowl with the raw eggs.  (This step will keep the cheese in suspension, instead of the cheese settling to the bottom of the baking mold.)
     Mix the eggs together.
Brush a crescent moon shaped silicon baking mold with a little bit of melted unsalted butter.
Place the silicone mold on a roasting pan.
Pour the cheese egg mixture into the buttered silicone mold.
Add a little bit of water to the baking pan to make a bain marie.
Cover the eggs with a pot lid or a piece of buttered parchment paper.
Bake the cheese eggs in a 325º oven, till they become firm.  (About 5-10 minutes.)
Remove the eggs from the oven and let them cool for 1 minute.

Pac Man Cheese Eggs Children's Breakfast:
Invert the silicone baking mold onto a plate, so the Pac Man Eggs face left to right.
Remove the baking mold from the eggs.
Place the round purple potatoes in a straight line in front of the Pac Man Egg's "mouth."
Place the small bacon squares in a straight line, above and below the Pac Man eggs, so they are evenly spaced.
Place 1 small piece of roasted red bell pepper where the eye should be on the Pac Man cheese eggs.

Viola!  Pac Man cheese eggs!  Kids do like colors.  Purple potatoes are a children's favorite.  The little pieces of bacon are easy to eat and they form the border of the Pac Man game pathway.  The cheese eggs are moist and cheesy!
Now, expect criticism when serving this Pac Man cheese egg breakfast to a child.  The first comment you may hear is "Pac Man does not have a red eye!"  Oops!  Ce est la vie!
Be forewarned!  Adults and kids will drive you crazy with their weird video game noise imitations while they eat this breakfast.  It is okay to play with your food while eating Pac Man cheese eggs!  ...  Shawna
